Clay Cake

I finally put my Silver Belle knitting down long enough to finish this!
Next step: Latex 74.
Oh, and here is the accidental kitty that happened as a result of all this clay sculpting:

Speaking of Vogue Knitting, the preview for the fall issue is up! Thanks to girlkae for letting me know. :] There are a couple sweaters I might want to make, especially among the free downloads, but it's kind of hard to tell what they look like with all the posing. But I've started Silver Belle, so I'm going to finish this one first. god, 376 stitches--I have never had to cast on this many at once before. Here's my progress report:

Idea #5

Haha, look at all the things you can do with a boiled egg! I dug this Japanese bento recipe book out of the bookshelf because I've decided to try to make my own lunches to take to school, now that I have class from 10 to 4. Okay, so there are only two more weeks left and I've been eating at Greens (this expensive organic restaurant that is too convenient to be good for anyone's wallet) for the past four, but maybe I can get a B+ for future effort. Anyways, the one in the top right hand corner is supposed to be a chicken, but I think it looks like a bleating baby dinosaur bird. And the one below it is supposed to be a raccoon, but I thought it was supposed to be a frog. But then the one next to it I think is the funniest-looking: it's a guy zooming around in a baby-carriage-looking car with his toupee flying behind him! Hahahaha! I don't know if you can tell from this photo, but trust me, it's funny. I'll try to upload a better picture of it later. I know y'all can't wait.

Grey Sweaters

3.1 Phillip Lim is my new love. Look how cute this sweater is. I want to make it, but since I think it may take me forever to figure out this pattern from scratch, I may have to settle for the Debbie Bliss pattern featured on the cover of the Vogue Knitting Fall 2007—still cute, but I feel like it'll look too grown-up on me.

P.S. If anyone knows how to put two photos side by side, please let me know!
